Biography
Corey Miller studied photography at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, then honed his skill first-hand under photographers and film makers in Los Angeles and New York. He worked full time for Paul Jasmin & film director Sophia Coppola, Vogue fashion photographer Wayne Maser, Elle Magazine photographer Gilles Bensimon and on W Magazine assignments with Bruce Weber, famous for his Abercrombie & Fitch ads, David LaChaplle on assignments for French Vogue . In 1992, he founded Corey Miller Photography and rapidly developed an impressive client list, shooting portraits for magazines such as Vanity Fair, Marie Claire, Sony Style and companies such as Harrah’s Casino. Corey Miller grew up with cameras and spectacular images. He is the grandson of Ardean Miller III, 1937 winner of the prestigious Leica award, the first photographer to use color film in WWII, and later admired for his work shooting classic advertisements for Coca-Cola, Airstream Trailers and Pan American Airways. Corey’s father, Bruce Miller, shot advertisements for Chevrolet, Ford and Hatteras Yachts. His uncle Brad was chief photographer for Mercedes Benz and his uncle Randy a successful advertising and lifestyle photographer based in Miami. Now living in Williamsburg, VA, Corey Miller is ideally situated to create studio and natural light portraits, fashion photography and editorial features for local, national and international clients.
